Global Forest Watch would not have been possible a few years ago. It is now a reality because of three emerging global trends:
Citizen’s groups all over the world are taking an increasingly active role in finding solutions to problems that confront our planet.
The growth of the Internet and other technologies has allowed these groups to connect electronically, collect data and spread their messages.
New partnerships are being forged between businesses, environmental groups and governments.
