That is why we have decided to provide a donation of 2.5 million dollars to the Global Forest Watch. The Global Forest Watch will play a crucial role in providing IKEA with maps of the forests. These maps will be a very valuable tool in IKEA’s work towards a more sustainable forestry. We are also very grateful to our discussion partner Greenpeace who initiated the contacts with the Global Forest Watch.
The greatest contribution we can make to our environment is information, knowledge and awareness. We hope also other companies will be encouraged to strive in the same direction and share the responsibility of our environment.
